LaMoure tops Oakes in Legion ball

LaMoure Post 19 scored five runs in the fourth and three in the seventh to notch an 8-5 American Legion road victory over Oakes on Thursday.

Kenny Hodem was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored to lead Post 19. Jared Meiklejohn doubled and had three RBIs, while Zach Stemen singled and scored twice.

Beau Diegel went the first four to get the win, while Stemen finished up.

Cody Vogeli started and was saddled with the loss for Oakes despite going 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI, stolen base and two runs scored. Cole Ehrlin contributed two hits.
