MN man gets 15 years in prison for heroin case

A Minnesota man has been sentenced to prison in North Dakota for using a person under 18 to distribute heroin.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Minnesota man has been sentenced to prison in North Dakota for using a person under 18 to distribute heroin.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Lynn Jordheim has announced that 31-year-old Anthony Lamont Johnson of Minneapolis was sentenced to 15 years in prison and eight years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute, distributing a controlled substance and using a person under age 18 to distribute a controlled substance.

Prosecutors say Johnson was part of a group of people that brought large amounts of heroin from the Twin Cities to the Fargo area.
