Dakotas hit triple-digit temperatures
Temperatures reached triple digits in several cities in the Dakotas on Tuesday.
BISMARCK (AP) — Temperatures reached triple digits in several cities in the Dakotas on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says Rapid City hit 108, while Custer, Spearfish and Winner each hit 100. The town of Buffalo in northwestern South Dakota hit 109.
The agency had earlier issued a heat advisory for much of the two states.
The weather service also issued a red flag warning indicating dangerous wildfire conditions in western South Dakota and southwestern North Dakota.
