ND town going from gravel to asphalt
A northeastern North Dakota town is turning some of its gravel roads to asphalt.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A northeastern North Dakota town is turning some of its gravel roads to asphalt.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that the $1.5 million asphalt-laying project in Thompson is expected to be completed in August.
City officials hope that the project with make the city less dusty, lower street maintenance costs and enable the riding of bikes and skateboards through more of the city's neighborhoods.
