Jamestown 14-U sweeps Casselton

The Jamestown 14-U girls fastpitch softball team leveled its record at 4-4 with a 15-5 and 14-3 sweep of Casselton on Wednesday.

In the opener, Jadee Lange allowed just one hit over four innings in the 10-run win. Thressa Piatz had three hits to lead Jamestown’s eight-hit attack. Sam Johnson added two hits, scored three runs and walked. Torii Kamlitz drew three of Jamestown’s 12 bases on balls. She also scored twice. Lange also crossed home three times.

Jamestown banged out 15 hits in the Game 2 route as Lange bombed a home run to lead the attack. Meghan Orr was a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored. Paige Christ had a three-hit game, including a double. Samantha Hatlewick singled, walked three times and scored three runs.

Christ pitched and allowed three first-inning runs, but nothing the rest of the way to earn the win in the circle.
