JFD dispatched to scene of car fire

The Jamestown Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a car fire Friday afternoon.

The Jamestown Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a car fire Friday afternoon.

According to scanner reports, a car caught fire in the area near Neighborhood Grocery at about 12:38 p.m. The car fire was put out quickly, but the siding on a nearby garage was still smoldering.

At 12:43 p.m., the fire was reported to be under control.

No further information was available.
