JRFD puts out three fires along I-94 Sunday

The cause of three Sunday afternoon fires is still under investigation, according to Rick Woehl, chief of the Jamestown Rural Fire Department.

The cause of three Sunday afternoon fires is still under investigation, according to Rick Woehl, chief of the Jamestown Rural Fire Department.

The fires happened around 4:30 p.m. along a half-mile stretch on Interstate 94 through Jamestown.

“We’re not real certain,” Woehl said.” There was one report of a vehicle that was smoking, they were still trying to locate the vehicle when we arrived.”

Six firefighters in three trucks were on scene for 25 minutes. No injuries or damage was reported.
