Nadine Gardner and Shawn Haakenson, both Jamestown, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Sophia Hernandez, Jamestown, and the late Mathew Gardner, and Lynne Haakenson, Jamestown, and the late Roger Haakenson.

Nadine is a 2008 graduate of Clovis High School, Clovis, Calif. She is a correctional officer at James River Correctional Center, Jamestown.

Shawn is a 2003 graduate of Jamestown High School, Jamestown. He is a correctional officer at James River Correctional Center, Jamestown.
