The Minnesota Wild have signed star forward Zach Parise and star defenseman Ryan Suter, the top two free agents available in the NHL, according to multiple reports.

The Star Tribune first reported that both have agreed to 13-year contracts with the Wild. Parise's deal is reportedly worth $98 million.

The Minneapolis-born Parise and Suter, a native of Wisconsin, were considered two of the biggest free agents in NHL history and both appear to be coming to Minnesota. Both are 27 years old.

It's a huge shot in the arm for the Wild, who have missed the playoffs four straight seasons.

Parise starred in college at UND, where he was a 2-time Hobey Baker Award finalist. Suter played at Wisconsin.

Both were key players on the 2010 Team USA team that won the Silver Medal.
