DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — The Stark County Commission has approved a permit for a proposed $325 million diesel refinery near Dickinson.
The Dickinson Press reports (http://bit.ly/LSPhx6) the commission approved the request Tuesday to rezone 274 acres of land between Dickinson and South Heart from agricultural to industrial for the refinery's construction.
A subsidiary of Bismarck-based MDU Resources Group Inc. is planning the refinery that could be completed in 2014.
Officials have said that it would produce up to 10,000 barrels of diesel per day.
