The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.

Lance Garrett Weber, 34, is living at 415 Second St. SW. He is described as an American Indian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 146 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Weber drives a silver 2004 Oldsmobile Alero, with North Dakota license JOB825.

Weber has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Weber was convicted of gross sexual imposition on Feb. 14, 2003, in Ward County District Court, North Dakota. Authorities said he had anal sex and intercourse with a 20-year-old woman who was passed out. Weber was sentenced to five years with two years suspended.

He was also convicted on July 17, 1995, in Snohomish County District Court in Washington of second degree rape of a child, for fondling and having sex with a 12-year-old neighbor boy. He was sentenced to 30 days and placed on probation for 24 months.

Weber is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation. He has been placed on GPS monitoring.

He is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Weber. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Weber or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.

Printed handouts of Weber’s demographics are available at the Jamestown Police Department.
