The Valley City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman who may have lost her memory.

Amber Marcia Glatt, 22, was reported missing by her boyfriend Andy Mushet during the late afternoon hours Wednesday. Glatt is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 96 pounds with brown eyes and brown medium-length hair.

She is reportedly driving a silver Mitsubishi Lancer with a broken rear driver’s side window. The vehicle has a Virginia license plate XFK1538.

The appeal to the public has produced some information.

“We’ve gotten a couple leads,” said Mark McDonald, interim chief of the Valley City Police Department. “Nothing real concrete and we’ve been unable to confirm any information.”

Glatt reportedly has had reoccurring bouts of amnesia.

“She has had head trauma in the past and has had episodes of losing her memory,” said Kathy Mushet, Andy Mushet’s mother. “This time she was alone and left sometime on the late afternoon of the Fourth of July without any sort of communications.”

Kathy Mushet said at this time she may not know why she is in North Dakota and be confused. The family has no leads as to where Glatt may be headed.

“She gets her memory back but it can be one week to two months later,” she said.

Kathy Mushet said one of the few leads was that Glatt took a tent with her.

“She might be camping,” she said. “We’ve looked at some campsites but we haven’t found anything.”

Glatt is originally from Virginia and has lived in North Dakota for the last two years. She is enrolled at Valley City State University.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.
