Police say 2 arrested in Grand Forks bank robbery

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota police says two people from Missouri have been arrested in connection with an armed bank robbery that occurred early Friday on the campus in Grand Forks.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota police says two people from Missouri have been arrested in connection with an armed bank robbery that occurred early Friday on the campus in Grand Forks.

UND officials said 19-year-old Johnny Michael Patrom and his wife, 18-year-old Amanda Rachelle Phillips Patrom, were arrested.

Johnny Michael Patrom is charged with armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, terrorizing, criminal mischief, driving while under suspension and driving without insurance. His wife is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of stolen property and failure to transfer title of a motor vehicle.

Formal charges are pending from the Grand Forks County state's attorney's office.

The incident is being investigated by the FBI, the UND police, the Grand Forks Police Department and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
