The streets in and around downtown Jamestown were full of cars and spectators this morning as part of several activities taking place citywide today.
The morning kicked off with the third annual Pancake Feed Fundraiser at the Jamestown Fire Department Hall, for which several firefighters as of 10 a.m. stated there had been a steady stream of people coming in beginning at 7 a.m.
Crowds of people gathered all along Main Avenue in downtown to get a close look at White Cloud's 16th Birthday Parade.
The color guard led the way from Fifth Street North all the way down to McElroy Park with several local clubs, organizations, churches, politicians and more in tote behind during the course of the parade.
Spectators of all ages enjoyed a warm-weathered morning, with temperatures hovering around 75 degrees as of the 9:30 a.m. start of the parade.
Kids lined the streets as many of the parade vehicles and floats were handing out candy treats all along Main Avenue.
Events continue this afternoon with the Jamestown Classic Car Club Buffalo Rally in McElroy Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., free birthday cake to celebrate White Cloud's 16th birthday at 1 p.m. at the National Buffalo Museum, stock car races at the Jamestown Speedway at 7 p.m. and rounding out the night is the Paint the Sky Fireworks Show at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds following the race at approximately 10:30 p.m.
