EGELAND, N.D. (AP) — A crop duster plane crashed while spraying a field east of Egeland but the pilot was unhurt.

The Towner County Sheriff's Office says Nathan Murdoch of Nehawka, Neb., was making a pass over the field at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday when the engine stopped. Murdoch was already low to the ground and landed the plane in a field just north of Highway 66.

The plane suffered some minor damage on the hard landing.

The incident was turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration.
