Two injured in two-car crash

Two people were injured following a Sunday afternoon two-vehicle crash, according to the Jamestown Police Department. The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street Southwest and Business Loop West.

Two people were injured following a Sunday afternoon two-vehicle crash, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street Southwest and Business Loop West.

Arthur Mitzel, 64, 102 18th Ave. NE, was stopped in a 1998 Pontiac on Fourth Street waiting to turn onto Business Loop West.

Mitzel said a truck stopped and partiality blocked his view.

Randy Miller, 54, 1210 17th St. SW, was driving a 1997 Harley-Davidson approaching Fourth Street from the northeast.

Mitzel stopped and Miller said he was unable to stop. Miller struck Mitzel.

Miller and his passenger, Tara Miller, 27, Scottsdale, Ariz., were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of injuries.

Mitzel was wearing a seat belt. The report did not state if the Millers were wearing helmets.

There was $4,000 in damage to the Harley-Davidson and $2,500 to the Pontiac.

Mitzel was cited for failed to yield.
