Shanley takes pair from Jamestown

Fargo Shanley swept Jamestown 14-8 and 17-9 in 14U fastpitch softball action on Monday.

Kadie Anderson carried the load for Jamestown in the opener, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and two runs scored. She also pitched and allowed six hits over five innings.

Sami Johnson singled and scored twice.

In Game 2, Jamestown got within 8-6 with a six-run bottom of the second, but Shanley scored nine of the last 12 runs.

Johnson and Jadee Lange accounted for four of Jamestown six hits with two apiece. Lange had two RBIs and scored twice. Meghan Orr also scored two runs, while Paige Christ had a hit and two RBIs as Jamestown fell to 4-6. They play in a tournament in Fargo on Saturday and Sunday.
