Anhydrous Ammonia Training Tour set

As part of its nationwide training tour to educate safety officials on how to respond to anhydrous ammonia release incidents, a TRANSCAER Anhydrous Ammonia Training Tour event is scheduled in Jamestown on Friday.

As part of its nationwide training tour to educate safety officials on how to respond to anhydrous ammonia release incidents, a TRANSCAER Anhydrous Ammonia Training Tour event is scheduled in Jamestown on Friday.

Registration/check-in for the training will begin at 2:30 p.m. for the 3 p.m. class, which will last about four hours. The training will be located at the corner of Second Street and Eighth Avenue Southwest. Training will involve hands-on segment for railcar, tanker truck and nurse tanks transportation equipment.

TRANSCAER (Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response) is a voluntary, nationwide outreach effort that helps communities prepare for and respond to hazardous material transportation incidents. The tour has held hands-on educational training workshops in more than 65 cities in 28 states all across the country. North Dakota’s events will bring the total to 29 states.
