Dog Days a success last Sunday

Visitors had a hot dog with all the fixings and an ice cream float to celebrate White Cloud’s birthday.
Music was provided from an antique phonograph playing a series of old 78 rpm records that were discovered in the carriage house several weeks ago. Many of those records had not been played in at least 20 years.
Very few phonographs in existence today are even capable of playing them. People heard the music played as it was intended on a 90-year-old, hand-cranked, Slivertone phonograph, a relic of a simpler and perhaps less stressful times.
The Front Porch Chat on Sunday will feature a presentation by Tim Burchill on the history of the Ave Maria Village on its 50th anniversary.
