Jays compete at tournament

Five golfers from Jamestown High School’s boys team participated in the Trusted Choice Big I region-qualifying tournament Monday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
Brandon Hart led all Blue Jays with an 82, good for sole possession of 28th place.
Also scoring for Jamestown was Austin Rene and Nick Stockert, whose 89s tied for 47th. Ty Spitzer finished with a 94, and Jakobi Lux had a 95.
McKenzie Niesen, from New Prague, Minn., won the event, which means she’ll play in the national tournament in Austin, Texas, in August.
