Coby Horner and Jacob Tilley have signed with the Jimmie men’s wrestling team.
Horner comes to Jamestown College from Southwestern Oregon Community College, where current JC coach C.J. Campbell also wrestled. Horner was a three-time letterwinner at Henry Foss High School (Ore.), and was a starter and nationally ranked at SWOCC.
“I am pleased to have signed Coby to the Jimmie wrestling team,” Campbell said. “SWOCC has a great wrestling program and we have had a lot of success with wrestlers from their program.
“I am excited to see what Coby can bring to our program.”
Horner plans to study education at JC.
Tilley, a two-time state placer at West Stokes High School in Kink, N.C., he placed third in 2012 and fourth in 2011.
He posted a GPA of 3.5 and scored 1,100 on his SAT.
“It is a pleasure to bring on a bright, talented and polite student-athlete like Jacob,” Campbell said. “He comes from a good family and will be a great addition to our lineup this season.
“I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish both on the mat as well as in the classroom.”
