Some Dickinson employees not happy with wages

A new survey says many Dickinson city employees aren't happy with their wages.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A new survey says many Dickinson city employees aren't happy with their wages.

The Dickinson Press reports that more than 75 percent of the city's employees took the survey and 66 of 105 said they were not paid fairly for the work they do.

The survey found that more than 50 workers have considered quitting in the last six months.

Job Service North Dakota says Stark County residents averaged yearly salaries of almost $51,000 last year.

Dickinson street operators, police, building inspectors and firefighters make between $30,900 and $47,000 annually.
