Jordan Padilla of Juanita, Wash., has signed with the Jamestown College baseball team.
Padilla, a 5-foot-8, 185-pound right-handed hitting infielder, is transferring in from Shorline Community College where he earned All-Star honors for the Northern Region of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges this past season.
Padilla has continued to play well during the summer as he’s currently hitting .361 with eight stolen bases in 36 at bats for the Northwest Hunkers in the Pacific International League, which is a collegiate wood bat league.
“We are very fortunate to add another quality student-athlete to our program. Jordan will bring some speed to the table and is a very solid defensive infielder,” JC head baseball coach Tom Hager said. “I really believe his blue-collar approach to the game will be a great fit for the Jimmie baseball program.”
