One sentenced on felony

Kimberly Denise Cox, 39, 1318 Gardenette Dr. Unit 1, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance. One person was sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court.
Kimberly Denise Cox, 39, 1318 Gardenette Dr. Unit 1, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance. Both crimes are Class C felonies punishable by five years in prison and fines of $5,000.
Cox was accused of entering and remaining in a dwelling or highly secured premises she knew she was not privileged to on or about April 19, 2012. She was also accused of possessing methamphetamine, its salts, isomers and salts of its isomers on that same day.
Judge Thomas E. Merrick combined to two charges for sentencing and ordered Cox confined for 18 months with the North Dakota Department of Corrections with credit for 17 days already served.
She was also sentenced to not own or possess a firearm for three years and placed on supervised probation for a period of two years after the completion of her sentence.
Cox is to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility fee, $25 indigent defense application fee and a $25 victim-witness fee.
