Sargeant speaks at Kiwanis Club

Janna Bergstedt introduced speaker, Felicia Sargeant, National Buffalo Museum director, at the Kiwanis Club noon luncheon on July 2 at the Lantern Room.
Sargeant has been director since 2002 and has worked at the National Buffalo Museum for 11 years.
Sargeant said tourism is up 2,000 people over last year. The museum has been updated recently with new lighting and painting.
The buffalo dinner and White Cloud Days are two big events that occurred recently for the organization. It also has a 5K run/walk for Lupus on Aug. 25.
Tim Burchill led the meeting attended by 18 members. Don Caine led the group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Joyce Bentz collected “Happy Dollars” for Camp Rokiwan.
A blood drive for the community, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and Ave Maria, was held July 10-11 at Ave Maria Village.
There was no meeting on Monday as the club will instead meet at noon Wednesday at the Anne Carlsen Center with the Valley City Kiwanis Club.
