Geffre is the chaplain and Kennedy is the development consultant for the long-term care facility. Ave Maria Village is launching a capital campaign to fund an upcoming expansion. The new space will include a new chapel, a family suite for residents reaching the end of their lives, and an attached drive through transportation garage for all-weather resident access to the facility. The anticipated opening is fall of 2013.

Sande Franke led the meeting attended by 18 members. Don Caine led the group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Sandy Wilhelm collected “Happy Dollars” for Camp Rokiwan.

Kiwanis member Don Bentz will introduce Ken and Rosemary McDougall to speak at the July 23 noon luncheon at the Lantern Room.
