14U team goes 1-2 at state

The Jamestown 14U fastpitch softball team went 1-2 at the state tournament in Fargo last weekend, highlighted by its 10-7 win over Casselton.

In the Game 2 win, they scored 10 runs with just one hit, but drew six walks. Jadee Lange had the hit. Morgan Zuck scored three runs. Lange got the win on the mound.

Jamestown fell to West Fargo (11-0) and Fargo Davies (15-2) in its other two games.

Zuck had the lone hit against West Fargo. Paige Christ, Lange and Torri Kamlitz had hits against Davies.

Jamestown is back in action Monday when they host Valley City.
