The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the results of a blood sample taken from Wyatt Klein of Jamestown after a July 6 crash killed Klein and three West Fargo, N.D., residents.

The report, provided by the North Daktoa Attorney General’s Crime Laboratory, revealed that Klein’s blood alcohol was 0.25, more than three times higher than the legal limit of .08.

On July 6, Klein was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near Crystal Springs and struck a vehicle head-on. This vehicle was driven by Aaron Deutscher of West Fargo. Deutscher, his wife Allison and daughter Brielle were killed as a result of the crash. Klein also died in the crash.

Fifty-one percent of all 2012 North Dakota fatal crashes have been attributed to alcohol, the patrol said.
