None injured in two-vehicle crash

No one was injured in a Wednesday traffic accident that resulted in more than $5,000 in estimated damage, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
The accident happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Fifth Street and Fourth Avenue Northwest.
Alexis McDonald, 17, Jamestown, was driving a 2009 Toyota when she stopped at the intersection of Fifth Street and Fourth Avenue.
Lynn Flemmer, 61, Carrington, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet, westbound on Fifth Street in the south lane of traffic.
The police reported stated there were several vehicles pulling boats westbound on Fifth Street turning onto Fifth Avenue Northwest, which blocked McDonald’s view.
McDonald did not see Flemmer, and Flemmer swerved to avoid McDonald. McDonald struck Flemmer.
No injuries were reported and the drivers were wearing seat belts.
There was an estimated $4,000 in damage to the Toyota and an estimated $1,500 to the Chevrolet.
McDonald was cited for failing to yield after stopping.
