The 23rd American Association of University Women Garden Tour held on Wednesday was attended by about 285 guests, according to Kelly Krein, chair of the AAUW Garden Committee. They toured the yards/gardens of Paul and Kim Lunde, Frank and DeAnn Schumacher, John and Brenda Weron and John Zvirovski, and had refreshments and viewed the exhibit at The Arts Center.

Krein said they were pleased with the turnout which was an increase from last year. In spite of the warm weather guests attending were from the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Florida as well as North Dakota. The guest register showed that 23 North Dakota communities besides Jamestown were represented on the tour. Prizes were won by Terry Iten, Wes Newton and Sherry Bracken.

All proceeds from this annual fundraiser go to support the AAUW Educational Foundation which provides fellowships and research and project grants (more than $3 million a year) to women, the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, and the AAUW Endowment at Jamestown College which provides two scholarships each year for older than average junior or senior students.
