LaMoure’s Post 19 baseball team swept a pair of games from the Jamestown Blues at Jack Brown Stadium on Wednesday, improving their season record to 20-11.
Post 19 opening up the first game with five runs in the top of the first, en route to a 13-0 victory over the Blues. Beau Diegel notched the win on the mound after pitching four innings, where he allowed two hits and struck out one.
Diegel, Brady Warcken, Zach Stemen, Tanner Carlson and Kenny Hodem all had a multi-hit game for Post 19. Warcken went 2-for-2 with three walks, a double and two runs scored. Stemen smacked a double and picked up a pair of RBIs.
In the five-inning nightcap, Post 19 rolled 9-3 after exploding for seven runs in the top of the second. Drew Thielges, Carlson, Lucas Madcke and Chris Heinrich all had multiple hits at the dish. Heinrich went 3-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
Devin Piehl picked up the win for Lamoure. Piehl worked three innings and allowed zero runs while walking three.
