Letter to the editor: Berg, Hoeven will fight EPA, Obama on overregulation

I wonder why North Dakota is in the black? Maybe it’s because of conservative values and Republican leadership in the state Legislature and the governor’s office. North Dakota has an opportunity to continue being a world leader in oil and coal exports. In the past few years our oil and coal have given people jobs, brought money into the state, put us in the black and attracted more and more jobs to North Dakota.
President Barack Obama and the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington are trying to shut down and ruin the North Dakota way. They are introducing ridiculously extreme regulating policies on the industries that are keeping North Dakota No. 1 in the nation. Obama and the EPA are trying to render fracking useless and last year ended the possibility of an oil pipeline that would create jobs and develop a self-sufficient oil supply for this country. That’s why I stand with Rick Berg. He will work with Sen. John Hoeven in fighting for what’s best for North Dakota. Together they will make a Senate team that can stop the overregulation that is coming from Obama and the EPA, and protect the state of North Dakota and this state’s constitutional rights and survival.
Bottom line, be very careful who you vote for and that means do not vote for Heidi Heitkamp!
