Kiwanis clubs meet jointly at ACC

The Jamestown and Valley City Kiwanis clubs met jointly on July 18 at the Anne Carlsen Center. Twenty-seven Kiwanis members had lunch, heard about the center and toured the facility.

The Jamestown and Valley City Kiwanis clubs met jointly on July 18 at the Anne Carlsen Center. Twenty-seven Kiwanis members had lunch, heard about the center and toured the facility.

The Anne Carlsen Center is fully accredited for education and has year round school including high school graduation. It is licensed for 56 beds and provides speech, physical and occupational therapies. Its history dates back to 1932 in Arthur, N.D., before moving to Jamestown in 1941. Anne Carlsen Center now has outreach offices in Fargo, Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Bismarck and most recently Dickinson.

Kiwanis member Sharon Caine will be presenting on the Kiwanis Club’s Eliminate project at the July 30 noon luncheon Kiwanis meeting at the Lantern Room. Eliminate is a national initiative to eliminate Maternal Neonatal Tetanus by vaccinating mothers throughout the world.
