The North Dakota State Fair announced the following area award winners:

Ball, Kerr and Heinz Vinegar Awards
Blue Ribbon winners: Adam Gorseth, Cathay, two ribbons
Ball Preserving Award: Gorseth, Cathay, two ribbons
Wheat Commission special awards: Brenda Gorseth, Cathay, four ribbons
FOODS
Blue Ribbon winners: Brenda Gorseth, Cathay, 16 ribbons; Adam Gorseth, Cathay, 14 ribbons.
LIVESTOCK
Horse Pull
Dennis Fick, Litchfield, took second in percentage pull.
Fair Market Class
Lacey Schmitz, Oakes, showed the grand champion market steer, a 1,326-pound steer.
Jade King was also among the winners.
