BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple says he plans to host an “education summit” in Dickinson next week.
Dalrymple says the meeting will help officials share information about how to deal with rapid school enrollment growth in western North Dakota's oil region.
One of the scheduled speakers is a Texas school superintendent who administers one of the faster-growing school systems in that state.
Dalrymple says there will be discussions about teacher recruiting, the needs of new students from out of state, and a number of other subjects.
The meeting will be held Aug. 1 at Dickinson's Grand Dakota Lodge and Conference Center.
