Nugent to play Shooting Star

Nugent began his musical career in 1964 as a member of The Amboy Dukes. After achieving moderate success with the band, he set out to pursue a solo career.

Five decades, 30 recordings and 3.5 million record sales later, Nugent is recognized for his over-the-top onstage antics that amplify songs like “Stranglehold,” “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Fred Bear.”

A dedicated hunter and philanthropist, Nugent has written a number of books and has hosted anti-drug/hands-on hunting camps for inner city youth.

Nugent serves on the board of directors for the NRA. He is also a national spokesman for the National Field Archery Association, DARE, MADD and Big Brothers Big Sister of America.
