LaMoure 2-0 at Section 2 tournament

LaMoure won its second straight game and will face Lisbon today in a match-up of the only unbeatens at the Section 2 Tournament in Wishek.

Chris Heinrich was effectively wild and Jared Meiklejohn belted a home run as second-seeded Post 19 defeated Wishek 5-3 in winner’s bracket action.

Heinrich walked nine batters in 6 2/3 innings, but did not allow a run until Wishek got three runs in the top of the ninth. He allowed just two hits and struck out nine. Tanner Carlson got the last out for the save.

Meiklejohn’s solo home run highlighted LaMoure’s offense. Post 19 had six hits. Brady Thielges singled, walked twice and scored. Tyler Thielges was also on base three times. Carlson had an RBI single and a walk.

LaMoure and Lisbon meet today at 11:30 a.m.
