Herman Taxidermy wins fishing league

Herman Taxidermy had the top weekly score, but Casey Dodgson’s Team Ranger sewed up the Stutsman County Fishing league championship on Tuesday.

Mike Herman’s team posted a weekly-leading mark of 26 points, but Team Ranger was second with 20, giving them 227 for the 13-week campaign to claim top honors.

Herman Taxidermy was seven back for the season at 220.

Darrel Wegner’s Buffalo Builders finished in third for the week (18) and season (200).

The Outlaws (180) and Stan’s Bait & Tackle (160) rounded out the top five.

On tap Tuesday is the end-of-the-year tournament, which will be held at the Jamestown Reservoir.

Wonder Bar I tops week 8 standings

Wonder Bar I posted the top score in Week 8 action of the Buffalo City Gun Club Trapshooting League.

Wonder Bar I led the Browning Division with a score of 774.

Budweiser had the No. 2 overall mark of the week by posting 759 in the Beretta Division. Schumachers followed behind in second at 747.

In the Remington class, Goldade/Hammer edged out Goodrich/Laneys, 714-711.

Dan Poland/Machine had the leading score in the Winchester Division of 678 points. Jamestown Imp. II was second (665).

Austin Schwandt nipped Jonny Satrom for tops in the youth shoot. Schwandt had a mark of 155. Satrom was just two points behind at 153.

Connecting on all 25 of their shots for the week were Don Erickson, Tyler Goldade, Chad Price, Donnie Martin, Joey Nix, Chris Falk, Joe Bardell, Beau Bredahl, Bernie Wojick, Jim Schumacher Sr., Niles Mueller, Scott Swangler and Francis Lee.
