Jamestown takes two from Valley City

Jamestown outscored Valley City 21-9 to earn a sweep in 14U fastpitch softball action on Thursday.

Sam Johnson led the way in the opener, going 3-for-3 with a three-run home run. Kadie Anderson added two hits and two runs scored. Jadee Lange was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits en route to her fourth win. Lange also contributed two hits. Thressa Piatz also had a two-hit outing.

Anderson held Valley City to three hits in the second game as Jamestown won 10-2. Nicole Mayland had two of Jamestown’s four hits as they improved to 9-9-1 on the summer. They wrap up the season on Monday in Fargo against Colfax.
