Jamestown wins two, finishes 11-9-1

The Jamestown 14U fastpitch softball team closed its season with a sweep of Colfax on Monday, 15-0 and 11-10.

In Game 1 Paige Christ allowed just one hit as Jamestown scored six runs in each of the second and third innings. Samantha Hatlewick had two of Jamestown’s five hits. Kadie Anderson, Christ and Jadee Lange each scored three runs. They drew 10 walks in the win.

In Game 2, the teams combined for only five hits, but 21 runs were scored. Lange and Anderson combined to surrender just one hit. Torri Kamlitz scored three runs. Hatlewick had two RBIs. Jamestown drew nine more walks in the contest.

Jamestown, coached by Ryan Mikkelson and Jenni Pehler, wrapped up the summer with a winning record of 11-9-1.
