Mega Sports VBS set at UPC

United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown is offering Mega Sports Camp vacation Bible school for children age 4 through entering sixth grade.

Children will learn more about sports and discover character-building concepts.

Between sports sessions, coaches lead in worship songs, tell Bible stories and teach object lessons.

The camp is built around the Bible verses 1 Corinthians 9:24-25: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”

The camp starts Aug. 13 and runs through Aug. 17 at UPC, 302 Second Ave. SE.

Its hours are from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, with lunch served. Admission is free.
