Jimmies ink catcher from Oregon
Ryan Abel, an all-division player at Clackamas Community College in Oregon, has signed with the Jimmies.
Ryan Abel, an all-division player at Clackamas Community College in Oregon, has signed with the Jimmies.
The Boise, Idaho, native is currently playing for the Portland Stars in the West Coast League, a collegiate wood bat league in Oregon. Abel, a 6-foot-3 right-handed hitting catcher, played in all 41 games for Clackamas CC in the spring.
“We are very excited that Ryan has chosen to join the Jimmie family,” JC coach Tom Hager said. “He is a talented catcher and a quality student-athlete, and we are looking forward to seeing the impact that he will make on our baseball program.”
He is the son of Ron Abel and Kristi Abel.
