New Jimmie men’s basketball coach hired

Jamestown College will announce the hiring of a new men’s basketball coach on Monday at 2 p.m. during a press conference at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on campus.

Jamestown College will announce the hiring of a new men’s basketball coach on Monday at 2 p.m. during a press conference at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on campus.

The college had been looking for a new men’s coach to head the Jimmies following the departure of former Jimmie men’s head coach Matt Murken last week. Murken was hired as the head men’s basketball coach at NCAA II Minot State University.

Murken racked up 46 wins in just two seasons as head coach at Jamestown College. The Jimmies went 27-5 last season and advanced to the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament.
