Charges are pending in a Sunday crash where a truck struck a garage south of Jamestown, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 2:30 a.m. about 11 miles south of Jamestown just off U.S. Highway 281.

A NDHP trooper witnessed a truck speeding with defective tail lights and attempted to stop the truck when it turned east onto a gravel road.

About three-fourths of a mile later the vehicle drove into a rural farm yard, over a row of trees and into a garage.

Occupants of the vehicle fled on foot and were eventually apprehended. Alcohol was found in the vehicle.

Kevin Lemna, 20, Enderlin, N.D., returned to the scene a few hours later and was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Later on Sunday Jordan Kemmer, 20, Enderlin, admitted to driving the vehicle, the patrol said.

Charges are pending with the Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office.
