The Ypsilanti 50+ Club held a potluck in July with 14 members present.

President Harriett Lein opened meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Old business wasn’t reported. Treasurer Velma Roeske’s report was approved.

The club voted to send a wedding card and a gift to its county nurse, and thanked Charles Medeirus for his work on windows. Roll call was “as a kid, what did your family do for the Fourth of July?” Most members said they had to get the hay put up before they got to go to fireworks in town. Secretary Nancylou Jensen gave minutes from the last meeting and they were approved.

Everyone was asked to wear red, white and blue to celebrate the 4th.

The money prize was won by Irene Medeirus. Charles and Irene Medeirus’ daughter sang.

The next meeting is today. Roll call is: “If you could witness any biblical event … what would it be?”
