‘Share the Love’ set at Dr. Dawn’s

Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop, Prairie Paws Rescue and James River Human Society are holding a “Share the Love” event at Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop, 1202 12 th Ave. Ave., Jamestown.

The event is being held to celebrate people’s love for their pets and share that with animals in rescues and shelters that need a home.

Planned are a number of activities. Among them are laser therapy sessions, which are pain-free therapies for wounds, sprains and arthritis. This is free for providing a donation to Prairie Paws Rescue or James River Humane Society; call to reserve space.

Also planned are tennis ball toss and ring toss games; a demonstration from 1 to 2 p.m. by Great Plains Assistance Dogs; face painting; root beer floats from 2 to 5 p.m. served by Prairie Paws Rescue; birthday cake in honor of clinic cats Smokey and Bandit; pin the birthday hat on the birthday cat game; and others. There will be prizes for children’s games and door prize drawings.
