Class AA state tourney begins today

The Class AA amateur baseball tournament begins today with two games at Jack Brown Stadium.

In the first game the Valley City Saints take on Fairmount at 5:30 p.m. The Fargo Jays and Kindred follow in the nightcap.

Four more games will be played on Saturday.

The tournament is pool play. The top team in each 3-team pool will meet in the championship game on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The other teams in the AA field are the defending champion Enderlin Indies and the once-beaten Jamestown Tarno Townies.
