Manslaughter trial set for October

FARGO (AP) — Trial has been scheduled for an eastern North Dakota man facing charges in a rollover crash that killed a passenger.
Court documents show that Keagan Haas, of Page, is to stand trial beginning Oct. 23 on charges including manslaughter and aggravated reckless driving. He has pleaded not guilty.
The crash last Nov. 5 in Cass County killed 30-year-old Joshua Melvin, of Page. Authorities allege Haas had been drinking alcohol and taking prescription pills before getting behind the wheel.
