FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota State University student is preparing to run 400 miles to raise $10,000 for charity.

Ben Clark plans to run a 3-mile loop around the NDSU campus 135 times. He's scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Sunday and run until 3 p.m. next Sunday, Aug. 19.

The 21-year-old Clark wants to raise at least $10,000 for the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association. His mother has multiple sclerosis and his father has a nerve disorder.

Clark tells The Forum newspaper (http://bit.ly/NqBNh9) he has finished 10 ultramarathons, which are events longer than the classic marathon distance of 26.2 miles.

The Minot resident ran 366 miles across North Dakota in less than seven days to raise money to help that city recover from a devastating flood.
