JRMC and JPS announce partnershipJamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) and Jamestown Public Schools (JPS) have entered into an agreement naming JRMC as the official sports medicine team for the Jamestown High School Blue Jays.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) and Jamestown Public Schools (JPS) have entered into an agreement naming JRMC as the official sports medicine team for the Jamestown High School Blue Jays.
“The partnership created between Blue Jay athletics and JRMC will help to ensure that our students have the best athletic training care available to not only be competitive but to prevent injuries and live a healthier lifestyle” said Jim Roaldson, athletic director at Jamestown High School.
Already effective as of July 1 of this year, athletes at JPS will have access to sports medicine services, including a board certified orthopedic surgeon and athletic trainer.
JRMC will provide the student-athletes with prevention of injuries, immediate treatment of injuries that occur during athletic contests and help athletes rehabilitate from injuries.
Through this partnership, JRMC and JPS will work together to make sure the athletes receive the training and care that they need to stay competitive. All athletes will have access to services at JRMC such as orthopedics and rehabilitation.
“This is a great opportunity for us to provide education, training and care for athletes in our community. Having an athletic trainer at Jamestown High School will allow athletes to develop a one-on-one relationship with the trainer leading to better care and successful teams,” said Todd Hudspeth, CEO of JRMC.
